Parenting styles have a significant impact on a child's psychological development. In families with a strong religious background, strict parenting is often implemented as a form of moral responsibility to foster disciplined and devout children. However, an overly harsh approach can negatively impact a child's emotional and mental health if not accompanied by compassion and psychological understanding. This article aims to examine the harshness of religious-based parental education from a psychological and Islamic perspective. The method used is library research, reviewing various journals, books, and scientific research. The results of the study indicate that excessively harsh parenting can lead to anxiety, low self-confidence, emotional distress, and psychological trauma in children. From an Islamic psychological perspective, child education should be carried out with a balance of firmness, compassion, and understanding of the child's psychological condition.
